DIY Ideas for Knobs
Refurbishing and updating old furniture is very popular these days. I am always on the lookout for a great thrift store or habitat find! Many times you will find an old piece of furniture you love, but some or all the knobs and handles are missing. I thought it would be fun to find different and unique ideas for DIY knobs. You never know when you might need some inspiration.
The knobs below are ones I particularly like, but there are soooo many more ideas out there!
Have you ever used an unconventional item for knobs or handles on furniture? I would love to hear. 
Use old toys for handles.
Paint different style knobs all one color for a united look.
Paint a wood knob and glue small buttons to it.
Use old faucets.
Antique key.
Old door plates and knobs.
Wrap thin rope or twine around a store-bought handle.
Beautiful crochet knob cover.
Old spoons.
Yard sticks or rulers.
An old padlock! Love this.
The KEGerator
Okay men… Here is a DIY project that will make you happy on Father’s Day. It’s called a KEGerator!
What is this Keg thing, you ask? It’s a do-it-yourself keg in a refrigerator with a tap handle on the outside for easy filler-ups! The Hubbs of my friend, Carol, set this system up. While I don’t want this compliment to go to her Hubbs head, it is rather brilliant! 
My Hubby about fell on the floor when he opened the refrigerator in their garage and saw this. I don’t know if there is one of these things in our future, but the happiness I heard when he yelled “Laurie, you really gotta see this!!” makes me think it a possibility!
If you Google KEGerator, you will find companies that sell the supplies, including Home Depot. The prices range quite a bit, but this particular set up cost only $65.00 (Keg not included).
